'ool' for wool.
What can you do with colourful wool?
We did some felting!
First we put down layers of wool and made patterns.
Then we added hot water and soap powder and rubbed and rubbed and rubbed.
This is what they turned out like.
'ea' for bead.
We made bracelets with lots of beads.
'ake' is for cake so we made a cake.
What kind of cake did we make?
Cauliflower!!!!
Doesn't it look good.
We loved our cauliflower cake.
'gr' is for Grandparents.
We wrote poems for our grandparents to give to our grandparents on Grandparents day next week.
Week 1, Term 4
'ock' is for sock and is for clock.
So we made both, clocks...
... and socks.
Week 8
'ay' is for tray.
Mrs Bloomfield put 10 things on a tray. We had one minute to look at the tray, and then in our groups see how many we could remember.
Everyone did very well!
Week 7
'ook' is for book.
We made our 30 Day book on 30 day.
Week 6
'ike' is for bike.
What a fabulous bike day we had!
Week 5
'op' is for popcorn.
The Enviro team gave us some popcorn cobs that they had grown in the vegie garden.
We pulled the seeds off the cob and used the popcorn maker to pop them.
It was the best popcorn we have ever eaten.
Week 4
'um' is for Mum. We wrote poems for our mums.
Week 3
'fr' is for frog.
We had a very froggy week!
On Monday it was 110 day and we drew 110 frogs.
We learnt to swim like frogs in the pool,
Who is that photo bombing our frog photo?
Term 3, Week 2
'and' for bands, loom bands!
'am' for Sam-I-am and Green eggs and ham.
So we made green eggs.
Some of us weren't so keen on trying them but we did and most of us liked them.
Week 7
'an' is for fan.
We made fans.
Week 6
'ing' for King.
We read the book The hole in the King's sock.
We wrote letters to the King and decorated them
Then posted our letters off to the King.
We wonder if he will write back.
Week 4,
'un' is for SUN!
Look at the big sun we have in Room 16.
'at' is for cat, a fat cat that sat on a mat.
We painted them!
